The Modern Eater Show 08/08/15

Live from 7th Annual Cherry Creek North Food and Wine! The Modern Eater show takes Cherry Creek by storm as Greg Hollenback and Chef Jesper Johnsson rub elbows with Cherry Creek North’s finest restaurants.

Greg, who is a native to Cherry Creek, Jesper and Julie Underdahl, president of the Cherry Creek North Business Improvement District and Jenny Starkey, ‎Director of Marketing and Community Relations at CCNorth BID set the stage by talking about some Cherry Creek history, what restaurants participated in the CCN Food and Wine and the vast improvements the CCN BID have implemented to the CCN shopping district.

The Modern Eater welcomes CCN Food and Wine’s title sponsor from Cambiar Investors, Nancy Wigton joined the show to talk about their participation in this amazing event. Then much awaited Blue Island Oyster Bar will open in Cherry Creek North soon and Chef DJ Nagle stops by to talk about the “dock to table” sensation that will surely bring a fresh coastal taste to the Rockies. Look for Blue Island Oyster Bar to open in September in Cherry Creek North.

Next, if you know the Modern Eater show then you know how much we dig farm to table. With that said it was a natural fit talking to one of True Foods chef Cory Holland about where True Foods Kitchen sources their veggies locally.

Greg and the Chef came across a hospitality app created for hotels by Zonetail. The owner of Zonetail, Mark Holmes joined the show to talk about this exciting app with the guys! Also in this segment Jay Johnson from Bear Creek Distillery joined Greg and the Chef to talk about what happening in their tasting room this week! Last but not least, TME’s Denise Connor was asked to be a judge at the CCN Food and Wine and sampled all the treats. This segment Denise gives us all the Restaurant winners!
