The Modern Eater Show 08/06/16

Greg took the night off, so the Trash Man is in the captain’s chair for the show tonight. We’re ramping up to the Cherry Creek North Food and Wine event, there are twenty four businesses participating this year!

We welcome Michael McMaster, GM from the Thirsty Lion Gastropub and grill to the show. Michael also brought some bacon wrapped bbq prawns for us to taste, and they are yummy!

More with Michael McMaster from the Thirsty Lion, their menu is huge and Michael tells us all the working parts that keep this new restaurant running. Plus, we call Greg at a concert to hear what he’s planning next for the Modern Eater.

It’s our “In the Kitchen” segment and what better kitchen to talk to than the Thirsty Lion! We’re talking to sous chef Brian Webber, and this guy is passionate and really knows his stuff.

Charlie Gottenkieny, the head brewer and co-owner of Bruz Beers is co-hosting the show with Jay Parker. Find out the latest and greatest from Bruz Beers, how things are going and what’s on the horizon for this brand new brewery.

We welcome Nathan Gordon from the Vineyard in Cherry Creek and Jo Barrett from Broadbent Selections on the show to talk wine and their participation in the Cherry Creek North Food and Wine. Nathan also brought some wine!

We sampling wine with Nathan and Jo, find out how the Vineyard in Cherry Creek has stayed in business for over forty five years in the same location! Wow!

We’re finishing up the show with Charlie Gottenkieny from Bruz Beers, find out the best selling beer since they opened a couple of months ago. Nathan Gordon from the Vineyard in Cherry Creek talks abut the wine their bringing to the event and what it will cost you in the bottle.
