The Modern Eater Show 04/16/16

It’s our one year anniversary show! Greg introduces the newest member to the show, chef Nikki Olst, and we couldn’t be happier to have her! It’s story time with some of the more memorable moments of the past year including the Trash Man dancing in Cherry Creek, but it wasn’t his idea.

The stories of the first year continue with the time Greg conducted an experiment that put the sense of taste vs the sense of smell, you would be surprised which one won! Also our time down at the Taste of the Broncos, interviews include chefs like Keegan Gerhard.

Brian Midtbo, owner of Blackbird, Rosedale, Atticus, and the Table to Tavern Group is in studio to talk about what makes a successful neighborhood bar and restaurant, here’s a hint, it has a lot to do with community involvement. Also Declaration and Blackbird are paired up for the Brufrou event on April 30th, so they have a lot to talk about when it comes to food and beer.

Finishing up with Brian Midtbo from Blackbird and the Table to Tavern Group, what a nice guy and he really knows his neighborhood. He changed the concepts of all his bars to follow a more neighborhood feel vs the popular sports bar theme.
