Farm to table, just a phase or here to stay? This week on The Modern Eater, Greg Hollenback and Chef Jesper Jonsson head to the STEPS Foundation Sanctuary Farm for a look into the farm to table craze. Chef Janet Rorschach, farm to table instructor at the Auguste Escoffier Culinary School in Boulder explains what farm to table is and why it’s so popular with produce consumers and local restaurant chefs.

Greg and Jesper along with Chef Janet get more in depth on why farm to table and ranch to table has been resurrected as being crucial ingredients in tastier for that holds it flavor and nutritional integrity.

Gracious host of The Modern Eater and coordinator of the Horses Mending Hearts Program and proprietor of the STEPS Foundation Sanctuary Farm, Debra Thomas speaks to the guys on how supporting your local farms not only gives you great food and keeps our local farmers in business but how that support helps fund a much needed cause for people suffering from abuse to be able to seek help through the healing power of horses.
